Who can get tested?

The National Institute of Public Health recommends that everyone who suspects that they are infected should be tested. The most usual symptoms are cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throath and fatigue.

You can also call the corona hotline 909 41 700 Mon-Fri 08.00-15.30 to book an appointment for testing. You will receive an SMS with the time of your appointment. 

In Norway, medical assistance related to the Coronavirus is free of charge.

Where do I get tested?

Inhabitants from Lillehammer, Øyer, Gausdal og Nordre Ringsaker get tested by drive-through for corona in Ungdomshallen. You do not need to exit or park your car. In the event where you can not get to the testing location by car, home testing will be provided. It is therefore important you provide this information when you are referred for testing.

Corona testing is not provided on a drop-in basis. Call the corona hotline 909 41 700 Mon-Fri 08.00-15.30 for test referral. You will receive an text message with the time of your testing appointment. 

If you have been tested for coronavirus you should stay at home until you receive a negative test result and you have become symptom free. NB: close contacts and people in quarantine after travelling have to stay quarantined for 10 day after last exposure, or after arriving in Norway.

Are you waiting for test results?

You will get your test results 2-3 days after getting tested, regardless if it is positive or negative. 

Test results are available by logging in to www.helsenorge.no. NB: you will not be notified when the test results are available at Helsenorge. If you can not access Helsenorge, contact your general practitioner who will give you your test results. Persons without Norwegian identification number will be contacted regarding their test results.
